This morning when I went out for a walk I noticed a few news trucks at the Robert E Lee monument along Turtle Creek in Dallas. I asked one of the television people if the monument would be removed today. He said no, but the city council would vote on removal today. Of course, the plan was to remove right after the vote.

I watched the stream of the attempted removal some during the day and then headed to the site after work. It was then I heard that work had stopped because it was too difficult. At the site, however, several people told me there had been a restraining order of some sort. At this juncture, both appear to be true.
